The Fairways in Victor at
Champion Hill Country Club
Victor New York's Finest Living
Community
A truly unique lifestyle offering townhouses, senior
independent living apartments by Legacy, club house, a golf
course and more.
In 1812, the land was set apart from Bloomfield and named
Victor in honor of Claudius Victor Boughton, a hero in the
War of 1812. Other settlers from New England followed, and
agriculture became the town’s most important industry. In
most recent years the community now known as The Fairways
was purchased from Walter Boughton, direct descendant of
Enos and Claudius. Their family influence and name is
present in the naming of the town and many of the roadways
servicing the community. Eventually Boughton Hill lost its
popularity to the valley below, and Victor – the village –
began to prosper. The main route from Rochester to
Canandaigua passed through the valley, making Victor and its
surrounds one of Western New York’s most sought-after
regions. Today The Fairways is nestled between the popular
village and its gateway from Greater Rochester. If you
haven't taken the time to visit this outstanding living
community, now is the time to find out. See our club house,
